I am just drooling at the thought of these brownies. They are crispy on the outside and oh so gooey on the inside.
This is originally a recipe by Sainsburys, I found it on a recipe card in one of their stores over 10 years ago, and have been making it ever since.
Ingredients
- 200g Plain Chocolate, broken up
- 50 Milk Chocolate, broken up
- 225g Unsalted Butter
- 3 Large Eggs
- 325g Golden Caster Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Bean Paste
- 150g Plain Flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder if using an electric mixer
- 200 White Chocolate, broken up
Method
Pre-heat the oven to 180ºc/fan 160º, and line a 20cm x 25cm tin with grease proof paper.
Melt the butter, plain and milk chocolate together in a large bowl over a saucepan of boiling water. Once melted remove from the heat and allow to cool.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla, and then stir through the cooled chocolate mixture.
Then fold in the flour and baking powder and finally ¾ of the chopped white chocolate.
Pour into the pre-prepared tin, and dot over the remaining white chocolate. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes or until the top is crisp and the center gooey.
