Believe it or not guys, it’s the summer. I know the dark grey clouds and the fact it’s pissing it down don’t make it seem like it’s summer, but apparently it is.
Sometimes I wish I lived in a country where you actually got a summer, not 2 weeks of hot weather, and than rain for the rest of the year, but then I realise I don’t like it when it’s too hot, I don’t sleep well, I’m sweaty all the time, and it’s too hot too cook. So, in actual fact England aint too bad…right???
Anyway, as per usual I was living my life vicariously through Pinterest and Instagram and saw so many beautiful pictures of people’s summer holiday and these amazing pictures of these gorgeous looking ice cubes. Now that’s a sentence I didn’t think I’d ever say.
These were so easy to make, and you could make a whole variety of these to go with different drinks. I just used whatever fruit I had available, but I was really pleased with how they turned out.
Ingredients
- I used lemon, strawberries and raspberries, but you could use any fruit basically chopped into small pieces
- Large ice cube tray
- Water
Method
So, before starting these, I read online that you need to boil the water first otherwise the ice cubes are cloudy. Which I did. But they were still a bit cloudy… so maybe boil the water, let it cool and boil it again?
Place your fruit in the ice cubes try, cover with the water, and place in the fridge for 4 hours.
