So I have a confession to make, this is really a cheat’s version, no effort is involved in making this… whatsoever.
It just so happens this my Father-in-Law’s favourite, so I make it quite regularly.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15seconds to melt butter
- 75g Digestive Biscuits, crushed
- 25g melted butter
- 400g Caramel (I use Carnation)
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 400ml double cream
- 50g melted milk chocolate
In a bowl mix the crushed biscuits and melted butter to combine, and then press into a tin. Pop into the fridge to firm.
Whilst the base is in the fridge whip the cream to form soft peaks, and melt the chocolate.
Now is the time to assemble. Spread the caramel over the biscuit base, and cover with the sliced bananas. Then put the double cream on top and drizzle the melted chocolate all over.
Pop in the fridge and allow the chocolate to firm.
