Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had an amazing weekend. We spent a very busy weekend in London. We were just planning on going Sunday as we had tickets to the NFL game at Wembley, but we decided we hadn’t gone away for the weekend in ages, so decided on a last minute trip.
We decided to stay in Sheperds Bush, which is just a few stops on the tube from the main shopping areas. We stayed in an amazing hotel called the Dorsett Hotel, its about a 5-10 minute walk to the tube and train station, and a 5 minute walk to Westfield London shopping center.
Our room was quite big for London sizes, with a large bed, and the decor was so classy, more like a boutique hotel. The only downside of the room was the bathroom was quite small. But… I’d rather have a large room than bathroom.
In the bar they also had 2 for 1 cocktails between 6pm – 9pm, it would have been rude of us to turn down cocktails though right??? All of the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do more to help us. We will definitely stay there again.
On Sunday morning we headed to Wembley Stadium, we got the tube to Bond Street and then the Jubilee line to Wembley, we thought the tube would be packed, but it wasn’t too bad.
This was my second NFL game, our first was on our honeymoon in Florida when we went to a Bucks game, it was an amazing atmosphere, so I was very intrigued to see how it would match up. And boy, we were not disappointed! We had amazing seats, right next to where the Jacksonville Jaguars came out into the stadium. Robin Thicke performed (on a side note, he has an incredible voice), they had people with t-shirt cannons shooting them into the crowds, which Martin caught one, and the mascots were so funny.
I wouldn’t necessarily call myself an NFL fan, however I do think i’m becoming one, and would definitely go again if I get the chance.
We eventually arrived home about 9:30pm after a long weekend.
How were your weekends? xxx
Never say no to cocktails 🙂 I have never been a big fan of football but my husband loves it. I always watched Nascar until they changed it so much that it was no longer fun to watch. I am stating to watch more games and am starting to understand it more. Sounds like yall had awesome seats.
